The Honduran Drug War has caused a huge disruptiion in the Honduran society. Including a prison fire that kill hundreds of men. The Honduran government is not sure how many prisoners died and how many escaped the fire but were counted into the death toll. The fire was believed to be started as a result of the drug war violence within the prison.

The majority of which are believed to be related to cocaine trafficking. The Honduran military as well as the police force were trying to combat this drug related violence, but the military cannot do much because of their lack of power to arrest and build up evidence against the offenders.
